Hi Everyone,
Emily passed away peacefully at home this morning. I was with Emily holding her hand when she took her final wee breaths. Gary and Aunty Chris were there too. The last thing she said to me was at 3am this morning while I was helping her with something…she said, “Sorry I woke you Mum” … Then when I helped her back to bed she said, “I love you.”
The blog will be updated this afternoon with the date for the celebration of Emily’s life.

To the woodin family,
words escape at the loss you suffer today, tears well in my eyes reading what will be some of the very last of Emily’s blog posts.
I remember when jared was going through treatment and Emily was in the room at the end of the hall, they both set up shops to sell stuff at thier doors whilst they were well enough to do so. Memories like these is how I will remember her, happy and strong. My heart goes out to your family I cannot begin to understand you loss. If there is anything our Wellington family can do to help please do not hesitate to ask. All the love we can muster is being sent your way xxx

Kath & Gary, it is with deepest sorrow that I read of Emily’s passing and I am so very sorry.

My thoughts are with you the family. From what I have heard, Emily has been a very brave and inspirational wee grl to so many and she has touched so many peoples hearts. Emily you are going to be Rolleston’s shining light looking after us all. Rest in peace little princess.

Dear Kath,
Ive followed Emilys journey over the last few years checking the website for the updates but its only now in the last 12 months that i have had my own child i can truly sympathize, the love you have for your child is so immense, i cant begin to imagine your heartache but both Emilys and your own strength has been truly inspirational. Thank you for allowing me to read the experience your family have gone through. My thoughts are with you.

Dear Kath.
Emily was such a special little lady.
For the longest time I thought of Emily as “my friends daughter” and found it terribly convenient that she and Josh were of a similar age and they would keep each other entertained when we all hung out together. But then one day I realised – they loved each others company and looked forward to our get togethers as much as us adults all did. They were friends in their own right.
As parents we watched together as their relationship changed as they grew – and and shared many a story via text when they hung out together and we just could not wait to tell the other of their amusing antics (I’ll never forget the text from you Kath, about them playing mummy and daddy with the dolls, and heading out for dinner they packed the ‘entertainment book’) or the story of Josh’s “food envy”. I have loved the way they have kept in touch with each other since we moved away, and it was just too cute to see their new found consciousness of each other when Josh and I were back on holiday last year. Em changing her outfit a million times and josh doing the bieber hair flick and trying to impress her with lame jokes. Too cute!
Kath, I really don’t have the words to say all I want to to you on this day.

There is nothing we can say or do to take away your pain but know when you are ready there are so many people who love your family and want to support you. Through your pain remember that Emily is now pain free and knew she was loved and still is. Love the Tansey family

Emily’s so lucky to have such an amazing family who’ve been with her through this journey. We take some consolation from the fact that she is now at peace, but are still very sad this day.
We will all miss Emily dearly, especially Sadie who I’m sure will forever treasure their friendship and times together.
