Emily's Journey

Emily's journey started on Friday 8 January, 2010 where it was discovered that after some time of being unwell, her body has actually been fighting cancer. This site is dedicated to those who want to encourage her through this journey.

Day 58 – Saturday 6 March, 2010

Filed under: Emily Update — Vanessa Palmer at 12:26 am on Sunday, March 7, 2010

Emily was really sick with the chemo yesterday but has had a better day today.  It has been helpful having Nana Sue down to look after Jack and Charlotte, allowing Kath and Gary to spend time with Emily.

Emily is looking forward to getting home and spending some time with her brother and sister.  She doesn’t want to have cancer anymore, and wants to be ‘normal’.

Hi Emily,
I met your Dad at the supermarket on Thursday night and he told me you are soo incredibly brave but that high temps had caused you to go back in to hospital for a while. I’m sorry you have not been feeling well and we are all behind you – GO AWAY NASTY CANCER! Everyday we think good thoughts we might just get that little bit closer!!!! I think your Mum and Dad are such wonderful people too (They are so clever at balancing the groceries, work and spending time with you, Charlotte and Jack!)
It’s great you have so many great people around you and your family offering support. Give a big High Five to everyone from me – even Nana Sue because did you know that she use to live next door to me for a while!
Take care and lots and lots of best wishes

Hi Emily,

I had a lovely talk to your mum yesterday and to Grandma Sherilyn and they both told me you don’t want to have cancer any more. Do you know what? Every day you keep on fighting this you are getting closer and closer to being normal again, and we are all trying to help that to happen by thinking lots of good thoughts for you. You are fighting so hard love, that I’m sure those cancer cells will get the message you don’t want them. You are so brave, keep on fighting. x x x :)

Hi Emily

Hope you remember me coming to see you when you were in the car, whilst your mum was picking up your Grandma. I am the lady that gave you the Welsh doll. I am now back at home in Wales and i just wanted to say that it was great to see you and your mum and dad again. Hope that you are feeling a bit better and that the sickness has now gone.

love
