Day 43 – Friday 19 February, 2010
Here is a picture taken yesterday of Emily and Abbey at home.
Today is a good day.
We had encouraging news this morning. Kath said the oncologist was ‘beaming’ as he told her that the results are showing the ‘best possible outcome expected at this stage of treatment’. These results indicate that the tumor is shrinking and the chemo is having a positive effect.
Emily’s treatment will continue as originally planned, meaning there are still many more grueling and invasive procedures to follow.
There is a long road ahead but today it is nice to be able to share positive news.

Catherine, Gary, Plucks, Woodins
My heart goes out to you. I have been silent until things have settled down. Well to a more positive time.
Special thoughts to all the Woodins and Plucks and extended family.
Sometimes we wonder ‘why us’ but you are strong people and have great love and family support. BUT that is no consolation.
Good luck with the ‘inner man’ and are you aiming for any reserves in the mixed team?
Long may Emily progress.

As I sit here and tear stream down my cheeks at this wonderful news. Although we know that the road ahead is a long one I can only imagine the joy that you guys get from this news. The joy that we get from this news must be only 1% of what you guys are feeling at this point so your heart must be overflowing with happiness.
