Day 366 – Saturday 8 January, 2011
A year ago today Emily was diagnosed with Cancer and given a 20% chance of survival. A parents worst nightmare! She was completely riddled with Cancer. Today, after a courageous, grueling battle Emily is disease free ( according to scans ). Whether or not Emily relapses is completely out of our control, but today.. all is well! Long may that last!!! So proud of our wee fighter!
Just one more round of treatment to go for Emily (in hosp from Jan 9th til the 14th )…PHEW!… then oral medicines with lots of yucky side effects until Feb 27th… then 3 monthly scans to check for relapse. Fingers toes and eyes crossed! Thanks everyone for your support this year. You all know who you are.

Good luck for this week EMILY.
You have been so very brave through it all.
Mum and Dad you can breathe a sigh of relief now.
Im sure all our prayers have b een answered for little
Emily.,
We must not think of a return at all of this stay
positive, many thoughts together with our hope
and hey some of our wishes have come true.

To our Darling courageous wee Grandaughter EMILY and our dear Daughter Katherine and son-in-law Gary, what a year it has been and what a battle, nearly there, To Steve and Flis who have been there right the way through and our wonderful family and friends from NZ and overseas and to Katherine and Gary’s friends we say thankyou, you have all helped so much with all your love and support,meals that you have made, the baking,vouchers and money for Em.
Also a big thankyou to Vanessa, Michelle and Leona for this blog that you have created you are three lovely friends to the Wooddins.

Hey guys
6 more days and counting and then you are all over rover for these nasty hospital treatments. We will be in to see you this week, wont even mention it to Jaime or else she will be counting sleeps again! Has been a mission of a year for sure, but you have been an inspiration to us all. Your family is amazing, and it is just wonderful to see Em so well and happy. Heres to a safe happy and well 2011! :-)
