Day 116 – Monday 3 May, 2010
The Wooddins had a quality weekend at home together which included an outing to Orana Park yesterday. When a lady walked past them with a llama, Jack said, “Look, it’s a sheep horse!”
Emily was able to spend some time at school today. She was excited to wear her school uniform.
Kath and Gary are awaiting word from the hospital as to the timing of Emily’s next procedure.

Hi Emily,
I know your aunty Chrissie and her family from soccer. I have been reading your blog since early January and have been quietly wishing you well. You have been such a brave girl. You are a source of courage and inspiration to many. It is so great to see your strength and determination to kick cancer in the butt! I will be thinking of you over the coming weeks, and will have all my fingers and toes crossed for you! May the next procedures go as smoothly as possible. Best wishes (and hugs) my friend.

Hi Emily,
Great to hear you got to school yesterday – sorry you missed Abby – she was home sick with a nasty cough! She had a busy weekend as her aunty katherine (who your mum went to school with) got married and she was a flowergirl!!! She looked so pretty and is keen to show you some photos!!
Take care – we hope to see you at school again soon

Hi Em
Thrilled you got to send some more time at school and you got to wear your uniform. We have another wee friend that is going to be up at the cancer ward at Christchurch hospital so we might we able to visit you both at the same time. His name is Jayme Leary and he is 18 months old and just found out he has leukemia so not a nice time for his family at this time either. Willows uncle (julia’s brother) is also in hospital at the moment awaiting a heart transplant so busy time for us with people we care about being so ill. Hope you get to spend lots of time at home until your next treatment. Thinking of you all the time. Lots of hugs Julia and Willow
