Emily's Journey

Emily's journey started on Friday 8 January, 2010 where it was discovered that after some time of being unwell, her body has actually been fighting cancer. This site is dedicated to those who want to encourage her through this journey.

Day 81 – Monday 29 March, 2010

Filed under: Emily Update — Vanessa Palmer at 3:55 pm on Monday, March 29, 2010

Emily has an infection in her large intestines called typhlitis.  This infection affects immunocompromised patients, such as those undergoing chemotherapy.  Emily has been given antiobiotics specific to treating this type of infection but they will take a while to kick in.  It is likely to be several days for this to be cleared and before Em can have her next round of chemo.

Oh no, that does’nt sound good. We are all thinking of you Emily. Sophia and Milan are busy making you Easter cards at the moment, we will drop them off later in the week. Think about all the Easter eggs you can eat when you are feeling better!
