Day 56 – Thursday 4 March, 2010
Beads of Courage 169
Emily started her 6th round of chemo tonight. Yesterday’s antibiotics have cleared her infection and she has been feeling a bit better today.
This morning at 5am, while vomiting, Emily’s naso-gastric tube came out. She received a special ‘challenge’ bead because she managed to get it back in by herself. What a legend!
Emily had a photo today with some of the Crusaders (photo to follow). When asked what sport they played her response was “soccer?”. She’s a true Wooddin. Emily was particularly pleased when she heard how jealous cousin Keanan was.
They are likely to be in hospital for the next couple of nights.
Emily’s latest joke “What’s a monkey’s most favourite but scary food? …… BOO nana’s!”

Yay for you Emily telling them you were a soccer girl! All of our family like football the best too. Logan’s dad is going to Wellington this weekend to watch the Wellington Phoenix play. If they are as brave and determined as you are they will definately win!
Luv to you and your Mummy, Daddy, Jack & Charlotte too.

Woo Hoo for a ‘challenge’ bead! You are so brave and an absolute legend!!!
We had a wee chuckle about ‘soccer’ and the Crusaders. The men in my family are huge rugby fans and would looooooove to have their photo taken with them.
I’m going to tell Daniel your joke in the morning as he always laughs at your jokes.
Pleased to hear the AB’s have done their job and your starting to feel better. Keep up the great work.
Much love to Kath and Gary. xxx
Love Deanne and her rugby mad family : 0)
