Day 36 – Friday 12 February, 2010
Today Emily started her fourth round of chemo (pictured above). They expect to be in hospital for the next few nights. Tonight Em is sharing a room with another child on the ward. The girls are excited about their ‘sleep over’.

Hi Em and Kath,
I’m coming home to give you both a big cuddle. I land late Monday night, and hopefully will be able to pop in and say hello. If not I will leave you a little present for your mum to give you. If there is anything you really want from Aus Em just let me know and I will bring it with me.

Hi Emily – sounds like you have had a fun time at home this week with your lovely family. Here’s hoping the sleepover was fun – and you managed to get to sleep before midnight!!
We have been reading your blog often and feel really happy when you are having a good day, and then pray really hard when you are feeling yuck! I was going to write the other day that when I worked with your Dad I washed his dishes and cleaned up after him all the time!! I don’t blame you at all for telling him off!
Are you doing any projects when you feel up to it? Rosie is really interested in Ancient Egypt and keeps getting books out of the library to read.

Hi Emily,
James thought you might like a joke to share with your new friend…….
What is a sharks favourite game????
Swallow the leader……
He thought you both might get a laugh from that one.
We hope you are feeling better soon and are able to go back home. You are such a brave wee girl – you look so beautiful in your new scarfs and hats.
You are always in our thoughts

Hi Em
We hope your ‘sleep over’ went well! Nothing like being able to laugh and giggle the night away with a girlfriend!
Hope the next few days in hospital zoom by so you can get back home to spend time laughing with Jack and Charlotte.
Kath and Gary – You are in our thoughts daily, we think of and speak of you every day. We continue to send our love and strength!
Much love Deanne and Clan xoxo
